The Dazzling Designer Door Knob Hanger

Activity Day - August 2007

Folk Art  -  Making  Wooden Door Hangers -  Involves  painting and decorating door hangers

This activity involves the children decorating wooden door hangers with paint, glitter, sequins, buttons, ribbon, beads and crystals.

A doorknob hanger is an excellent way to convey a message - We thought it would be a great way for the kids to express themselves - I guess because they are all homeschooled the ones they made were all so sweet and the messages they conveyed were so cute.

Allhumdulilah, all the sisters came on time before salatul Zuhoor.

After prayer, we ate a scrumptious lunch provided by the mothers - everything from homemade Meat Pie to Bread and Butter Pudding was on the menu. (Jezzakhullahu khairun to all the cooks and their special helpers)

Above picture shows some great painting skills and it was good to see that more paint ended up on the door hangers rather than hair Allhumdulilah.

Buttons - Buttons everywhere - This looks so cute.

These are a few of our wonderful doorknob hangers....

Wow!!!!! look at these they are really Dazzling......

Our younger homeschoolers were not left out at all -they did some wonderful colouring in...........we have many artists in our group.

Even our pre pre schoolers had a great time throwing their shoes off and just doing what comes naturally - drawing and entertaining us all. May Allah bless them all Ameen.

Allhumdulilah, the day was finished off by some cleaning up and singing nasheeds...laa laa - a good way to end the day wouldn't you all agree?

May Allah bless all our homeschooling Mums, kids and volunteer helpers. Ameen
